Will this site work for us?

seems pretty darn cool. I was wanting a section where we could upload project descriptions, so I'm trying to figure out I could set one of the functions to be labeled "projects"....
If you learn new things let me know.

I've heard that Ning will be introducing features like 'wiki pages' and 'sub groups' and 'multiple admins' in the future that will increase the usefulness of sites like these. These features would be ideal for things such as documenting projects.

In the mean time I've had the idea of creating a Ning account for each project (e.g. PROJECT 1, PROJECT 2 etc ...). Then sign into ning as that project and join the site. That way each project has a 'homepage' where you can add a short description and a blog where the project can be documented. Also you can post project videos, photos, forum posts etc ... under this project account thus creating an automatic link between a piece of site content and a particular project.
Finally you could create html links to each project's profile page in a textbox at the top of the site home page.

Also you could give the sign in details for a project to multiple users so they could all add to the project blog. As Ning make the profile pages more customisable (e.g. add elements and move elements around), they will become even more useful as project homepages within the site.
